A creature known for its short elephant-like trunk and other mishmash of animal parts. The baku is revered as a powerful force of good; watching over the humans as their guardian. It feeds on bad dreams; and because evil spirits fear it, health and good luck follow a baku wherever it goes. Nowadays, tapirs are normally associated with the baku.
